René is part of the Tax department of the Firm. He has previously worked in the Directorate General of Internal Revenue of the Ministry of Finance in the evacuation of tax consultation, shuttle appeals and administrative litigation and constitutional protection processes related to informal settlements of taxes and penalties, where he served as technical legal Departments of Taxes and Assessments, as well as technical and chief of the legal Studies Department and Transfer (1995-2010).
He has participated in seminars on aspects of international taxation and double taxation taken place in Antigua, Guatemala (7-10/10/2002), Model Agreement to avoid double taxation for Central America, Panama and Dominican Republic presented in Santo Domingo, Dominican Repupublic (5-8/3/2006), Familiarization visits on strategies to promote voluntary compliance with tax obligations carried out in Madrid, Spain (29/5/2006-2/6/2006), and Strategies to promote voluntary compliance of tax obligations of SMEs developed in Montevideo, Uruguay (20-24/10/2008).

Career

Law Degree from Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador in 1994 and is authorized as Practicing Attorney (1997) and Notary Public (1998) by the Supreme Court of Justice.
