Experience

  • Carlos has been a member of the firm since January 2019. His practice is specifically aimed at the Regulatory area obtaining, renewing, updating, modifying, canceling health licenses, Sanitary Registrations of food, medicines and related products. Provides technical and legal advice for regulatory and administrative management to regulatory authorities including the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food, the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance, the General Office for the Regulation Surveillance and Health Control, he also has experience in import authorizations at the Ministry of Health. Carlos has developed experience in various areas of law throughout his professional career, including corporate, commercial, notarial, labor, civil and real state advice including practices in different institutions such as the Second Court of Labor and Social welfare, in non-governmental organizations such as the International Justice Mission (IJM) and has developed analyses in diversity of sentences in the IURISTEC program. Prior to joining the firm Carlos was part of the civil, commercial and intellectual property department of a local firm, where he developed civil, commercial and labor contracts, also acquired experience in Intellectual property Law, registration of promotions before governance, creation and registration of commercial and civil companies, drafting of all kinds of assemblies, management before different institutions of the State, drafting of memorials in consignment processes, he also developed contracts for banks, billboard contracts and contracts in real estate matters. Previously, Carlos was part of the Civil, Commercial, Family and Notary Department in a regional firm where he was in charge of the management of Protocols, Public deeds, contracts, testimonies, he also elaborated companies, as well as legal opinions and the procurement of cases before different governmental entities. He also has experience as internship in different entities: - International Justice Mission (IJM) - Second Court of Labor and Social welfare. - IURISTEC. Within the university practices Carlos was in charge of different cases before the courts of the State of Guatemala including ordinary labor cases of social welfare, executive alimony and voluntary divorce.
