Irene joined the firm in 2011, she is Associate of the Public Law Department.
Irene’s legal counsel is mainly focused on administrative, constitutional, environmental and regulatory law areas, which involve a wide array of matters associated with public procurement, litigation, transportation and, regulated sectors.
In addition, her practice relates to local and multinational companies’ operational compliance as a condition to enter into contracts with Costa Rican public institutions. Furthermore, she has amassed great experience in structuring corporate partnerships and relationships across the governmental sector.
Irene was chosen as a participant of the Winter-spring internship in 2017 at the Department for Legal Cooperation of the Organization of American States in Washington D.C. During her tenure, she was able to supervise the enforcement of the Interamerican Convention against Corruption within the context of its follow up a mechanism to strengthen the cooperation between States (MESICIC).
