How was Arias established?

Our firm was founded in 1942 by Dr. Francisco Armando Arias (1915-2013) under the name Bufete Dr. F. A. Arias. The professional reputation of Dr. Armando Arias earned him several important public roles, such as Magistrate President of the Supreme Court, Secretary of the Presidency, Minister of the Interior, Vice Minister of Justice, among others that gave him a greater recognition in El Salvador and abroad. When he returned to his private practice, his son Armando had already joined him with a new business vision and together, they made the firm grow. With the diversification of practice areas and the growing demand of companies for services in more than one country in the region, the initiative to expand services beyond Salvadorean borders began in the nineties. Due to the rapid acceptance and growth of the firm, more offices were opened in other countries in the region and Panama: Costa Rica in 1998, Nicaragua in 1996, Guatemala in 1998, Honduras in 2002 and Panama in 2011.

Currently Arias is the market leader in Central America, with a broad portfolio of clients from different sectors and with more than 160 lawyers throughout the region.
